Now, it is Yahoo\u2019s turn to retaliate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\">Do you remember the <a href=\"http:\/\/searchengineland.com\/yahoo-becomes-default-search-engine-firefox-browser-209267\"><span style=\"color: #1155cc;\">November announcement<\/span><\/a> by Yahoo and Firefox when Firefox made Yahoo its default search engine? Since that announcement, Yahoo has experienced some noticeable positive results. The arrangement actually increased Yahoo\u2019s search engine market share by a relatively large amount.<\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\">However, after that, as we reported, Google made an attempt to take its share back from Yahoo!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\">You could see a very prominent banner for Firefox users asking them to come back. Just like this one.<\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\"><a href=\"https:\/\/improvemysearchranking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/switch-your-default-search-engine-to-Google.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2991\" src=\"https:\/\/improvemysearchranking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/switch-your-default-search-engine-to-Google.png\" alt=\"switch your default search engine to Google\" width=\"575\" height=\"303\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\">With its thorough \u2014 and somewhat annoying \u2014 campaign, Google actually won back many of its lost users.<\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\">But since then, Yahoo! has woken up and it is now running a very similar campaign to Google\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\">If you are a Firefox user, and not using Yahoo as your default search engine, you would see a similar message like you can see at the top of the following image.<\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\"><a href=\"https:\/\/improvemysearchranking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Yahoo-retaliates.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2992\" title=\"Yahoo retaliates\" src=\"https:\/\/improvemysearchranking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Yahoo-retaliates.png\" alt=\"Yahoo retaliates\" width=\"575\" height=\"294\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\">A similar type of message is being shown in almost all the other Yahoo products, too. As you can see in the following image, a similar message is shown in Yahoo! mail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\"><a href=\"https:\/\/improvemysearchranking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Yahoo-FireFox-Search.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2993\" src=\"https:\/\/improvemysearchranking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Yahoo-FireFox-Search.png\" alt=\"Yahoo FireFox Search\" width=\"575\" height=\"124\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\">From the month of December to January \u2014 after the November announcement we mentioned earlier \u2014 Yahoo had actually gained 1.2 points. Most of that share came from Google\u2019s market share. However, since Google hit back with their own campaign to win back users, Yahoo has already lost 0.2 of that new share.<\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\">You can see that in the following chart (US data only).<\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\"><a href=\"https:\/\/improvemysearchranking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/US-search-market-share.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2994\" title=\"US search market share\" src=\"https:\/\/improvemysearchranking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/US-search-market-share.png\" alt=\"US search market share\" width=\"575\" height=\"365\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\">With this new campaign by Yahoo, let\u2019s see how much market share they manage to get back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\">As a professional blogger or an online business, it can be frustrating to see the battle between two search engines. However, do not fret about it.
