{"id":8778,"date":"2018-12-28T10:06:17","date_gmt":"2018-12-28T10:06:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.improvemysearchranking.com\/?p=8778"},"modified":"2023-11-23T14:58:46","modified_gmt":"2023-11-23T14:58:46","slug":"bing-simplify-reporting-changing-share-voice-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.improvemysearchranking.com\/bing-simplify-reporting-changing-share-voice-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Bing to simplify reporting by changing \u2018Share of Voice\u2019 report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bing will be simplifying performance reporting by removing a few columns in the \u2018Share of Voice\u2019 report.<br \/>\nAs you may have noticed that in the past few months, Bing rolled out several AI-powered features to improve the performance reporting experience, e.g., the enhanced overview impression share metrics in the <u><a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/november-2018\/stay-ahead-of-the-pack-with-the-competition-tab\">Competition Tab<\/a><\/u>.<br \/>\nThis addition of new features has rendered at least three columns in the \u2018Share of Voice\u2019\u00a0 report useless. Bing would be removing those three columns in the next few months.<!--more--><br \/>\nThose columns are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Impression share lost to ad relevance<\/li>\n<li>Impression share lost to expected CTR<\/li>\n<li>Impression share lost to bid<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On the other hand, three columns (<strong>impression share<\/strong>, <strong>impression share lost to budget<\/strong>, and <strong>impression share lost to rank<\/strong>) will remain intact.<br \/>\nThe idea behind this step is to simplify the reporting process and to encourage advertisers to use the newer features that Bing introduced recently.<br \/>\nThe announcement said, <em>\u201cWe hope this update simplifies your reporting process, helping you to save time so you can focus on understanding your competitive landscape and leveraging the other valuable insights available.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\nIn the announcement, Bing also reminded their advertisers to check out <u><a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/november-2018\/track-your-campaign-goals-with-ai-powered-performance-targets\">Performance Targets<\/a><\/u>.<br \/>\nPerformance Targets, as you may know, allows you to set targets on groups of campaigns and track their performance.<br \/>\nIn case you have any questions about the update on Bing Ads in general, you can reach out to their <u><a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/bing-ads-support\">support team<\/a><\/u>.
